Seed Bombs

The Seed Bombs handed out at our Love Your Montain Day have proved very popular.

Seed Bombs are a way to add greenery & life to places that are neglected or run down

We are encouraging people to take these Seed Bombs and leave them on bare patches of land on and around the mountain

The bombs don't need to be buried or watered and they work in any place that has a bit of dirt and access to sun and rain. The seeds self germinate when the right conditions occur

The bombs are a mixture of clay, compost and native seeds

Seeds used:

Flat seed bombs - manuka

Round seed bombs - cabbage tree, flax and kowhai
